About Us

Meet The Team

Altrincham Children's Care has been established by a team of professionals from a wide range of professional backgrounds.

Together, we bring expertise in property acquisition and development, social care, education, and regulatory compliance.

Our senior management team draws on experience across corporate business, private enterprise, and the voluntary and public sectors.

At the heart of every decision we make, is a shared vision: to make a meaningful difference within our local communities.

We are united by a deep commitment to transforming the lives of children and young people—helping them realise their full potential and transition into adulthood with confidence, supported by nurturing adults who model genuine care, consistency, and integrity.

Our Mission
Stephen Chadwick

Director

Stephen Chadwick is a passionate and forward-thinking Director dedicated to improving the lives and futures of children and young people in care. With a strong belief in the power of education and opportunity, Stephen focuses on creating environments where every child has the foundation to thrive — academically, socially, and emotionally.

Although not directly involved in day-to-day care, Stephen plays a crucial role in shaping the vision, values, and standards that underpin the home’s success. He is deeply committed to ensuring that every decision made at a leadership level reflects the best interests of the children, prioritising safety, consistency, and quality of care.

Stephen’s leadership style is collaborative and transparent, fostering a culture of respect, accountability, and professional growth among staff. He works closely with managers, educators, and external partners to maintain high standards of practice and to create pathways that encourage personal and educational development for every young person in the home’s care.

Passionate about continuous improvement, Stephen champions innovation and evidence-based approaches within the organisation. He believes that access to quality education and positive life experiences are key to breaking cycles of disadvantage and helping young people reach their full potential and is a strong believer in our ethos of progress not perfection.

Driven by integrity and purpose, Stephen’s mission is to lead with compassion and clarity — empowering teams to deliver outstanding care and creating an environment where young people can build confidence, resilience, and hope for the future.

Our Staff Team

Our staff team has been carefully selected from a wide range of candidates for their commitment to, and compassionate approach towards, young people who have experienced childhood trauma.

We believe that policies, procedures, and practice knowledge can be taught and developed through training. However, what truly sets our team apart is each member’s ability to understand and support children and young people whose ‘behaviour’ often serves as a vital form of communication when words cannot be expressed. Trauma-informed care is embedded at the heart of our ethos and core philosophies. As a team, we actively promote reflection, learning, and professional curiosity, supporting all colleagues to achieve natural and meaningful progression within the organisation.

Our management team brings together a unique blend of expertise from both social care and education — each professional discipline contributing valuable insight that strengthens our collective learning and reflective practice. As experienced professionals, our Senior Leadership Team (SLT) ensures consistency and alignment across policy, practice, and approach. All staff are trained to a minimum of Level 4, and we strongly encourage continuous professional development and workplace learning.

Recruitment and retention remain key priorities for the SLT, as our people are the company’s greatest asset. Our goal is to reach a stage where external recruitment focuses solely on Residential Support Workers (RSWs), with all other appointments made through internal progression. To support this, we have developed a comprehensive competency and development framework that enables us to recognise potential, nurture talent, and grow expertise across the organisation.

Looking ahead, our five-year ambition is to become an ‘employer of choice’ within the care sector.
